Intercompany Billing for multiple billing entities

Modified on Tue, 21 Oct at 9:09 AM

Your users can now be assigned to a specific billing entity, which will allow for the creation of "intercompany" invoices. This allows you to bill internally between your different billing entities - for example when you need to bill an entity for work done by a user in another billing entity.

  1. In order to activate Intercompany Billing processes, enable Intercompany Billing in your Company Settings under the Finance section
  2. Once activated, you should be able to:
    • View and edit an Intercompany Rate on Item Types
      • This can be seen both on Item Type modals and for Item Types listed under a particular Rate Card
    • See an "Intercompany Billing" option in the main navigation menu under the Finance section
      • Here you would be able to see the time that users from Billing Entity A have tracked against Billing Entity B for example
  3. Intercompany Billing Report
    • Provide the Billing Entities that you'd like to see entries for
    • Time tracked by users will be listed here, these entries can be selected and an invoicing option can be triggered to create both a Tax Invoice and an associated Supplier Invoice.
    • Invoicing option:
      • Per Grouping -> If users have tracked time against multiple groupings, a Tax Invoice/Supplier Invoice document will be created for each grouping
      • For Billing Entity -> All time tracked by users will be bundled in one Tax Invoice/Supplier Invoice document
    • After selecting an invoicing option, your documents should be created, and you should be able to click on the buttons allowing you to view invoices created under the appropriate Billing Entity
