How to manage Status Lanes

Modified on Thu, 4 Jul at 12:43 PM

Status is used in Opportunities, Jobs/Projects and Tasks. Status Lanes are a great way to visualise which status a specific Opportunity, Job or Task is in and what need to be done based on your preferred method of working or predefined process.

Let's start by customising your lanes - (you will need to have admin rights for this step)

1. In the upper right corner, click on your name and select Company Settings.

2. Click on Opportunity / Job / Task.

3. Locate the status lanes in the right hand side.

4. Here you can add, remove and shuffle (click and hold to drag) your status lanes in your preferred order. Bear in mind that the whole company will be using these lanes by default.

How should these lanes be used?

There are many ways in which to label these lanes,. Here are some examples:

Where do I find my Status Lanes?

In Opportunities, Jobs/Projects or in Tasks located the Change View drop down and click on "Status Lane view". (Screenshot below taken from the Jobs view).

The best way of using these lanes is to switch between your List view and Task Status lane views and dragging your tasks into their relative lanes. As an example: if you have a daily scrum session, you can access each person's tasks and drag and drop tasks into the correct lanes for the day.

TIP, you can hide lines by clicking the eye-icon and show any hidden lanes by click the "Show hidden lanes" button within the menu (this option only appears when a lane is hidden).

Lane sorting

You can order the cards within a lane by applying your preferred ordering located in the Order By drop-down in the upper right corner.

In addition, you can click the "Flip current lane order" button to sort the lane.
