Status lanes are used to create a workflow in which one can determine the various stages of opportunities, projects, and tasks. You can customise your opportunity, project and task status lane names in your company settings area.
Statuses should be the high-level stages a new deal flows through in your business that help a business owner get a quick idea of what stage they are in the business. You should decide on a limited set of stages for both opportunities and jobs that aren't more than 10 for each one.
Examples of commonly used status lanes for Opportunities:
- Lead
- Proposal
- Follow Up
- Won
Examples of commonly used status lanes for jobs:
- TBA - To be actioned
- This lane is to be used when Traffic / Client Services is building the job or making changes to the job.
- Briefs/amendments and tasking are to be conducted in this phase.
- In Studio
- The job is sitting in the studio.
- The job will either move to CTR or back to TBA.
- CTR - Client to revert
- The job is to be moved to CTR when artwork or information has been sent to the client for feedback.
- The job will either move down the lanes to invoicing, or an amendment will be made and the job will be moved back to TBA for Traffic or Customer Services to assign the task to someone.
- In production
- The job is now in production.
- The job will either move to CTR or back to TBA.
- Invoicing
- The job is now with finance.
- Closed
- Once the jobs have been paid for they move into this lane where they are archived.
- Canceled
- If a job gets canceled they are moved into this phase and archived.
Examples of commonly used status lanes for tasks:
- Today
- Tomorrow
- This Week
- Waiting for Feedback
- Waiting for Approval
- Backlog
Follow the steps below to create your own customised status lanes:
- Hover the cursor over your name.
- Click on Settings.
- Click on Company Settings.
- Click on Opportunity/Job/Task
- Below you will see three columns for status lanes.
- Click on the + to add a status.
- Click on the x of the status you would like to remove.
8.Drag and drop statuses where you want to re-organise them.
