Documentation of the new features and changes for Magnetic 2.2.1 are found below.


  1. Open in Edit Mode as opposed to View Mode 
    We’ve changed the behavior when you click on the title of an Accounts item or a Task. Previously, Magnetic would open a View Mode, now it opens directly into Edit Mode instead. 

      


    1. Recon Report 
      We’ve made a few enhancements to the Recon Report:  
      1. Redesigned the top section: 
      2. Item Type Summary now includes an option to expand each Item Type to see the associated task, owner and estimated/tracked time on the task.


    2. Invoice Costs
      Currently, you can transfer all time entries to an invoice, but there’s no option to specify which records you want to include, nor whether to include Expenses, PO’s, SI’s. Also, there’s no option to choose how the invoice is being ‘composed’. This is now possible by clicking on a Job > Finance > Generate from Incurred Costs.



    3. Timesheet Design Enhancements
      We’ve separated the timesheet line so instead of showing all information (Task and Job Name) on a single line, it is now showing two lines:  
       
      The Task Name displays as the primary information above the Job Name (see below)

      Customer Name is now showing separately to the right. We’ve also expanded the comments input box to show two lines of text instead of one line.

    4. General Font Change 

      We’ve received some feedback from some users that the Montserrat font that we used difficult to read read. We’ve now changed the general font in Magnetic to Open Sans which provides better reading experience throughout the system.


       
      Also, we’ve added the option to change the default font size by user. You can change your preferred default under Personal Settings>Theme

    5. Companies & Contacts List 
      Some users have mentioned that it was difficult to find specific companies or contacts as Magnetic, by default only displays the first 100 records in the table view. We’ve now increased the list to show 250.
      In addition to this, the "Find" field only searches within the records within your currently loaded into you view, and not the entire database. 
      You must use the Filter in the top section if you want to search for companies or contacts beyond what is showing in the table.  
       
    6. Renaming of Clients to Companies 

      We’ve renamed Clients to Companies and Companies to Clients & Suppliers.

    7. Redesign of e-mails 

      We’ve done a general redesign and some functionality enhancements of the e-mails that is sent to you from Magnetic. As an example, the Daily Update now includes a Task Progress indicator, Task Due Date information, an Activities list and a new Project/Job section with Budget Spend and Planned vs. Actual.

    8. Showing user avatar picture on Users List. 

      We’ve added a user avatar picture to the Users List.  


       
    9. Release Notes 
      You can now access the latest Release Notes in the  menu. 
      Also, it will add a notification ! upon logging in for the first time after a an new release update.

    10. Track time directly from Comment/Update Task 
      As you are commenting or updating a task, we’ve made it easy for you to quickly track time on the task.  


       
    11. Customer Address now showing on the CE 
      We’ve added a customer address label to the Cost Estimate that will also show on the PDF output.  


       


    12. ZiFlow Integration 
      We are excited to announce our new partnership with ZiFlowZiFlow is probably the best product on the market right now for proofing and is used by many renowned brands. We’ve already built an integration between ZiFlow and Magnetic and we will do a specific webinar on this subject later.     13. Leave Accruals 

      Magnetic now supports Leave Accruals. In the HR section under a User, you can now add the number of leave accrual days that Magnetic will add to the users Annual Leave days each month. 

       

    14. Date Picker clean up 
      We’ve cleaned-up the date Picker control throughout Magnetic, so that it is now using the same date picker control across the entire product.

    15. Allow the same e-mail on contacts on different Companies 
      Previously it was not possible to have the same email address linked to different contacts, even if the contact was created under different companies. This is now possible.  

    16. Task Summary Page 
      The Task Summary Page from Magnetic version 1 is now back by popular demand. You can find it under Analytics -> Reports -> Jobs Report as well as under a specific job – Reports -> Jobs Report
