Using Speech to Text

You can now use speech to capture your information on jobs, tasks accounts and wherever you see the little microphone icon available, as highlighted below:


To start using speech to text, follow these steps:


  1. Select the field that you wish to populate
  2. Click the microphone icon (The icon will highlight red when recording is active)
    Note: Your browser will request microphone access
    Please grant microphone access as speech to text will not function without it.
  3. Start talking to capture your voice. Text will be populate shortly after speaking has paused.
  4. Hit the microphone icon again to stop recording (the icon will go back to being highlighted black when recording is stopped)
  5. Check the text and make adjustments if necessary.
  6. Save.

This function is available in various areas of Magnetic. Use it to capture task info, descriptions, comments, accounts line item descriptions and more.
